Clothe-a-Child Continuing Through Christmas

The News Herald’s charity called Clothe-a-Child has 300 more children to take on shopping trips for warm clothes, and donations are gratefully accepted. So far 550 kids have been taken by volunteers to the Great Lakes Mall to get outfitted for winter clothes and shoes. The charity pays between 220 and 250 dollars per child for boots and coats and clothing, and shopping trips run from September through January for 900 registered kids.

And Wednesday they raised money for the Clothe-a-Child campaign at Lake County Juvenile Court which was home to a Christmas bazaar with bake sale and holiday crafts for sale and Chinese Auction of special offerings. Raised 17 hundred dollars.
