With the reigning Champion Cleveland Cavaliers up 2 games to none on the Indiana Pacers in round one of the NBA playoffs, the Cavaliers got more good news that veteran shooting guard J.R. Smith has pronounced himself good to go for Game 3 tonight against Indiana. Tipoff is 7 p.m. at Bankers Life Fieldhouse. On Monday a sore hamstring forced Smith out of Game 2 at The Q in the second quarter. He didn’t return and the Cavs went on to win, 117-111. After practice on Wednesday at Cleveland Clinic Courts in Independence, Smith met with reporters and said he “absolutely” will be ready to play in Game 3. He did running and shooting drills at practice to no apparent ill effect. Smith stood in front of a throng of reporters Wednesday and spoke about his baby daughter, Dakota, who was born five months prematurely. She remains in the hospital as her dad preps for the Pacers. Coverage begins tonight at 6:30 pm on ESPN 970 WFUN.
