Emery Appointed to Conneaut Council

An unopposed candidate for Conneaut City Council in November’s election was appointed at Monday’s regular meeting. Joseph Emery will fill the vacant Ward 3 seat. He replaces Deborah Newcomb, who was officially chosen council president at Monday’s session. Both city officials took the oath of office at the beginning of the meeting. Emery is 2008 graduate of the Conneaut High School, with a degree in biology from Walsh University and works at BASF in Beachwood.
