Raptors Rout Cavs 133-99

LeBron James and his struggling Cavaliers absorbed their most-lopsided loss of the season on Thursday night, routed by the Raptors 133-99 in Toronto. The Cavaliers have dropped six of eight, dating to a Christmas Day defeat at defending champion Golden State. James scored 26 points in this loss while Isaiah Thomas missed his first 11 shots. After losing to the new-look Minnesota Timberwolves 127-99 on Monday, the Cavs loss last night and Toronto’s 133 points were the most scored by any Cleveland opponent this season, and marked the third straight game that they’ve allowed at least 127. Fred VanVleet led the Raptors with a career-high 22 points, Jonas Valanciunas had 15 points and a season-high 18 rebounds as Toronto overcame the absence of two starters. Toronto’s 12-game home winning streak was snapped on Tuesday in a loss to the Miami Heat, but they bounced back for the Cavs. The road trip continues tonight against the Pacers, with coverage beginning at 6:30pm on ESPN 970 WFUN.
