Expect changes at Ashtabula Area City Schools this fall

ASHTABULA – About 80 parents, teachers and administrators gathered Tuesday at Superior Intermediate School to hear about changes coming this fall to the elementary campus. Ashtabula Area City Schools Interim Superintendent Mark Potts told atendees the district’s plans are designed to help increase student achievement, and include re-arrangement of grade levels at the five elementary schools. He said the changes will hopefully help not only retain more students, but attract some as well. Come fall, parents also will see the principals going into the classrooms more often as part of a bigger plan to raise report card scores.
