Ashtabula police quickly catch suspect accused in robbery-assault

ASHTABULA – Ashtabula police quickly caught the suspect accused in the robbery and assault of a homeless man and his daughter. After police interviewed the victim, they received a call of someone trying to break into a nearby vehicle. The perpetrator, who matched the description of the homeless man’s assailant, was arrested and later identified by the victims. Theron A. Simmons appeared in court, Monday on multiple charges. The judge set his bond at $12,525, court records show.
